Larry graduated Summa Cum Laude from State University of New York in 1972, and continued his education at Tufts University School of Medicine. In 1981 he earned his Board Certificate from the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Spivack has successfully performed over 40,000 Laser procedures and has successfully performed over 6,700 Radial Keratotomy cases for patients in Colorado and throughout the world. He was the first surgeon in Denver to receive Crystalens certification in 2004. Larry was designated by VISX, Inc. as a nationally certified trainer, to train other surgeons in laser procedures. He was one of only 40 who carried this designation in the United States.
Dr. Spivack is part of the following professional societies: American Academy of Ophthalmology-Elected Fellow, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, Colorado Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and International Society of Refractive Surgery. He also is a Board Member at the Cancer League of Colorado and is a co-founder of the eye clinic at the Denver Rescue Mission.
Larry and his fiancé Lisa Williams are involved in a new ecommerce business, having designed and patented CarryWell, a reusable grocery bag organizer system.
